Femor Foldable Pet Pool

This smashing item isn’t going to break the bank and it's certainly reasonably priced. It doubles up as a paddling pool for kids too and comes in three sizes.

When looking for the right doggy proof paddling poof, you’re going to want it to be made from durable material.

Luckily, this item is as hardy as they come. It’s made from top-quality PVC,r einforced with wood board panels and is good for prolonged usage. So if you have a big and energetic dog, don’t worry!

This doggy paddling pool is made to last and it features several benefits. The non-slip floor is anti-skid and wear-resistant, and the wrapped edges work to prevent wear and punctures. So even if your doggy hasn’t clipped its paws in a while. You’ve got nothing to worry about.

This pet pool is a smashing choice if you’re looking for smart storage options. It folds down into a concertina style design, which makes it an incredibly easy product to store away.

The fact that it folds down so well makes this choice a super portable option. This is great news if you’re planning on bringing it to a friends place, or on a summer camping trip.

Pros

  • Folds away
  • Durable design
  • Multiple sizes
  • Drainage plug

Cons

  • Heavier than some others
  • On the more expensive end

Best Compact Pop-up

Petsfit Foldable Dog Pool

It seems as though pop-up tents are not the only item that has taken the world by storm. More and more individuals are searching for pop-up pet paddling pools. This is for a great option to search for, purchasing a pop-up pool can save you bags of time.

If you have a busy schedule and want to make the most of your time. This might just be the perfect pool for you, and of-course your pooch.

This option only comes in one size (104 x 30cm), which makes it a little smaller than our ‘Top Pick’. This being said, the product is still the same height as our top pick, you’re just lacking a few centimetres in width.

Popping-up in only a few minutes, this item is bound to please. It is made from hardy Oxford cloth and polyester. So it’s a sturdy piece of kit, there are even strong wire hoops on each side to keep the pool upright.

Like most pop-ups putting this away takes a little longer than putting it up. Don’t worry though, this pool is designed to be simple and it folds to a small size, which makes it easy to carry and pack away for storage solutions.

Pros

  • Easily folds away
  • Lightweight
  • Compact

Cons

  • Pricey
  • Not as durable as larger models

Budget Choice

Bramble Dog Pool

This option is our best value for money. It’s a great deal and it will certainly not break the bank if you choose this option.

This pool has several great reviews and is a cost-effective option if you’re looking to save a few pounds on your purchase.

Out of our 5 favourite dog pools, this is the cheapest of the bunch but it still has several great features.

At (80 x 30cm), this pool is a little less wide than the other’s listed but comes in at the same height. This product is extremely versatile and can be used as a dog pool as well as a kid’s paddling pool on hot summer days.

While this product may be the best priced, it’s not the strongest of the bunch. The suppliers recommend that this product is good for three years.

If you have an overly active dog and use it very often, the chances are it won’t last this long- this is because the fabric for this product is less durable than others.

This option is foldable and portable, but again is not the best of the bunch. If you are looking for something that you might be putting up/down regularly, take a look at our best pop-up dog pool.

Pros

  • Amazing value
  • Compact
  • Lightweight

Cons

  • Not suitable for big/strong dogs
  • Small

Toozey Dog Paddling Pool

Luckily, this option comes in three sizes: small, medium, and large. So whether you have a tiny pooch or a great big hound. There’s an option to fit your needs.

With bags of great reviews, this product comes in at an average of 4.6 out of 5 on Amazon, which isn’t bad going at all.

Out of all our listed products, this has the best warranty. Toozey are so confident about their product that they are giving you a whopping 5-year warranty with each purchase of this pool. So if you’re looking for an item that is guaranteed to last, this might just be it.

Sturdy and hardy, this pool has it all. It is made from a safe, non-toxic PVC and the wall construction keeps the dog pool stable at all times.

It’s easy enough to set up, and folds away easily to a compact size for effective storage. This option includes a bag to store it in too, which is not a feature for many of our other listed doggy pools.

Yaheetech Foldable Dog Pool

Last, but most certainly not least, we have our final best buy for you today. The Yaheetech Foldable Pet Dogs Swimming pool is a cracking too!

This pool comes in a range of sizes, so whether you have a Jack Russell or a German Shepherd. There will be a size to fit your needs.

This pool can be used both indoors and outdoors, which is fantastic news. Its durable fabric is made from high-quality PVC and is lined by MDF for extra stability.

It folds down to an extremely compact size in the shape of a concertina. This is a good option to look out for as the best products often fold in this style.

This product features anti-slip flooring for your pooch and is wear-resistant because of the internally installed fibreboards.

This product is not only cold/UV-resistant, but it also comes with an easy to use drainage hole for when you’re packing your pool away.

Conclusion

All five of our recommendations are solid choices but there are three in particular that we believe deserve highlighting.

Our overall favourite is the Femor Foldable Pet Pool. It's one of the more durable pools available which is great for boisterous dogs. It also comes in a range of sizes so you can get the right fit for your garden (and dog).

If portability and space are priorities for you then the Petsfit pool is a great option. It's also the one we'd choose for a small to medium dog.

If value for money is a priority then the Bramble dog pool offers outstanding value.

If neither of these options does it for you then the Yaheetech and Toozey pools are worth a look. They both come in a variety of sizes and have solid reputations.

Buyer's Guide

Are you still unsure about what you are looking for? Read our buyer’s guide to help you make the right decision.

We cover 4 key areas that you need to consider when getting the right doggy pool for your dog  (and garden).

Size

It’s all about size when it comes to dog pools. Don’t let anybody tell you it doesn’t matter.

Choosing the right pool for your dog will of course depend on the size of your pooch.  As long as your dog fits comfortably and can move around, you’re winning.

Remember you may not need a gigantic pool.- As long as they fit okay, you’re only looking to keep your dog cool. So a smaller pool isn’t a bad idea too.

You must also consider the height of the sides. If you have a dog on the smaller side then it might struggle getting in and out of the pool.

You also need to ensure you have plenty of space to set up the pool. Make sure there's plenty of space away from potential hazards like flower beds!

Durability

This is a big one. Nobody wants to purchase a product that doesn’t last. So check, check, check the reviews.

Some of the cheaper options out there aren’t the most durable, but if you’re looking for a quick, cheap fix, for short term use. Go ahead and get a cheap one. There are some very well priced pools out there.

The more durable pools are the ones that have solid side panels made of wood/MDF.

If you have a dog that's a problem chewer then something like this is a better option.

Storage size

Most of our pools collapse away easily enough. Although you might want to consider where you are going to store it. Some of the listed options come with additional bags for your dog pool storage needs.

Portability

This is a must if you’re an on-the-go kind of person. Do you need to bring your pool on a special camping trip? Are you visiting family for a few weeks?

If you’ve answered yes…Looking for a portable option is bound to be the best for you. Check out our reviews and search for a concertina style fold-down pool if portability is a priority.

You'll also want to consider the overall weight.

Benefits of a Dog Paddling Pool

So what are the benefits of getting a dog pool for your pooch to play in? Well besides from keeping your pooch content, there are a few other benefits.

Get your dog used to the water

While most pooches will be happily splashing around within the first few months, others may be a little shyer.

If you want to test the waters with your dog (literally). This is a great way to get started. This is an especially good option for rescue dogs who need a little extra time.

Scorching summer days

Fortunately, we humans know how to cool down in the heat. We can easily grab a cold drink or a tasty ice-cream to keep up cool - Dogs, on the other hand, may need a little help. Especially with such thick and fluffy coats, no wonder every dog loves a paddle.

Keep those dirty paws clean

Have you been for an especially long and muddy walk? Are you dreading the minute your dog runs inside and towards the bowl with its muddy boots? Well, don’t worry.  Purchasing a dog pool has got you covered.

Teach your dog to hop in the pool after a muddy Sunday walk and you can put your feet up for the rest of the day, rather than cleaning up after your four-legged friend.

Digging for gold

Does your dog love to turn your garden into an archaeological site? Bury some toys in your paddling pool under a bit of sand, problem solved. These versatile pools can be used for many reasons, why not make it a sandbox too.

Family bonding

Along with all your friend’s colorful toys, why not have your pooch and your toddler spend some bonding time in the pool.?

Kids love to splash about, and dogs too. Surely there’s no better way to spend a summer day than watching your little one and your pooch having a whale of a time. It will be sure to keep them both entertained for a while.

So there you have it. We hope we’ve helped you somewhat with the decision-making process. We know it’s never easy, but now you know what to look out for and hopefully, some of our top picks have inspired you. Best of luck, and happy splashing.
